Mr. Rogers doesn't teach entitlement. Mr. Rogers doesn't say "You're Special so everything you want in life will automatically come to you", Mr. Rogers teaches kids self esteem. He tells them "You're special, you can do anything in life you put your mind to."

Mr. Rogers is probably as close to a saint as we will ever see in our lifetimes. Have you ever seen a biography of this guy? He's a minister who dedicated practically his entire life to the betterment of children. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mr_Rogers

I'm glad someone didn't make these claims during his lifetime. I think part of the reason this offends me so much is because I can only imagine how completely hurt he would be by these claims.
