That's because 90% of the people that worked for me before were friends (we live in a small town and it's hard to find people). I paid for cars, vacations, trade shows, health benefits, RRSP's, company retreats, lunches, dinners and many other things for my employees. The people that worked for me were paid WELL and I'm sure no one could ever bitch at how much they made. My salesguys made over 100k a year up to the time they left... However none of that matters in the end because they are out of a job and you're the asshole.
If it wasn't for all the changes in the company last year and getting rid of all the dead weight our company would have never made it. Now we are back on top and making more money than ever...
In the end never hire friends or family, it never works out...
