when my dad's cancer recurred and the doctor told him it had spread, my dad said 'i'm just going to let it rip'. my mom and us kids begged him to try chemo, we were still clinging to hope that chemo could buy him some good years - doctors don't want to tell you what they don't think you want to hear, perhaps they should. anyway the chemo just made my dad's last few months worse. people should go out on their own terms, if they can't accept they're dying then let them get chemo but if it were me I'd rather take some pills and peacefully go before the monster completely ravaged me.

Sorry about your dad. I hope it is tabloid rumor in this case. Steve Jobs is brilliant! It would be such a shame for him go at such a young age, not to mention at the height of his career.
