I made lots of mistakes way back in the day from jumping into stuff without knowing all of the details. Point is, you can't get mad at the company because you didn't understand the contract.
I also believe in giving people their money back if they are the slightest bit unhappy but you can't expect everyone to do that because the customer didn't know what he was getting himself into or it didn't work out the way he planed it.

then before you cast aspersions about one's intelligence or ethical stance, try to remember there is a learning curve in this business. Those that should be vilified are those who know they have transgressed and still make no effort to rectify the situation. Regardless, this specific issue needs to be put into context with the entire set of circumstances leading up to this point and not viewed solely on its own
