Live about 50 miles south of christchurch, real disaster, thank god family/friends all ok, central city stuffed, all tourists flown out by air force, bad liquifaction all over the place. And looters ffs, I say shoot the pricks.
urban search and rescue from Australia, United states, Japan and Taiwan are arriving, interestingly all USAR personnel trained by United nations so that at times like this they work together seamlessly. Big ups to our international helpers, gotta be the ultimate to risk your life for people in a different country. I have to say that we can think what we like about the yanks but they are there when you need them.
I tell you folk we see disasters on TV all the time but watching telly knowing that folk 50 miles away are dying is completely different.
