I've used Stihl and Husqvarna chainsaws, and I've got to say they both are pretty on par with one another from what I've seen. I'll lean toward Huskies as the better brand though based on my experience with their circular cut saws. I've made literally thousands and thousands of cuts through hardened head rail working on the railroad, using both Stihl and Husqvarna saws, and the Stihl's don't hold a candle to Husqvarna in that whole realm. The Stihl's gum up way faster, they've got an awkward balance to them, and they just don't seem to have the guts a Husqvarna does. Which lead's me to believe that if you were a Lumberjack, slasher, or somebody else who slung a chainsaw all day, you might find yourself in the same boat.
