You left out what is probably the main reason...
Teenagers haven't developed that part of their brain that can forsee long-term consequences of their actions -- and I thank the lord for that.
When did you ever do something crazy when you were a teenager, and not think about how it might affect you later? I surfed 20 foot waves in Hawaii when I was 21, and came close to dying several times. I wouldn't even think of attempting it now.
BTW, that's the most confusing poll in the history of the internets.
