The point is: "How fast is your site?" - doesn't matter where do you have server(Europe, USA) or what kind of site is.
I make some measurment for your site:
http://purephat.net/ and time is: 6.8s
Not bad for blog with many graphics.
But firebug shows me some 403 error for your resources e.g:
http://www.purephat.net/openx/www/de...&cb=1d26e19553
