A couple a months ago wanted to try Amazon, put some articles on a blog and forgot about it. Now I saw that Amazon gathered around $60 in commissions. That + Adsense / CJ etc. So, I'd say, not bad

Amazon plays filler for me. Usually second to Adsense on product related sites or third if I can find niche related CPA offers. I'll tag a "shop" subdomain onto just about any niche site I can and generate an Amazon store on it. I have one that sells a lot of celebrity posters, commissions are usually $.40-$1.00 area. Not terrible considering the entire shop was generated automatically, It bring in maybe $20/month extra, but it also sucks in long tail searches.
Amazon is an easy sell because people trust the name, but fuck me, if it was your sole source of online income, you would have to be busting fucking balls to survive.
