For me, I started taking care of myself more. Longer baths, shaving each day, and gradually getting fit... Dunno if you are overweight or not, but I was 231 Lbs and I am now 156 Lbs...
So just do anything to fill the time, but dont do stuff that you used to do while you actually drank, as that makes it harder.
For example, I used to sit at the PC and have a large glass of Vodka Redbull on my desk. Constantly sipping it, and refilling it... When I stopped drinking, I didn't even go online or sit at my desk for just over a month, as I associated it with drinking. Instead, I did 'other things' - Some were cool. Some I never want to do again - But the key point was that when I went back to my desk, I had broken the association...

I'm at 151lbs, which believe it or not is the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I was always always 135. Then for the last couple years I was 140 without change. I've gained ten pounds for no apparent reason in the past month!!!
So I have been FINALLY exercising (never worked out my whole life) and taking some supplements and all. I think what happened was I had eaten a-lot of fast food, which is out of character for me because I think it's horrible garbage.
Well I'm supplementing and working out and taking those huge red bottles.. I got the creatine and am going to get the no activator and whey protein (so the exercise I do will actually do something)
All the smoking and drinking and sedentary living I did made my cock about half as strong as it use to be, made me light headed when I get up out of a chair, legs go to sleep some times and I'm only 27, now. That quick sudden 10lb gain finally woke me the hell up.
Already quit smoking, but still addicted to nicotine. Using the e-cig. Most people buy 24mg and up and I mix up my own to a 3mg strength. No smoking, no fast food... Exercise
I'll be a-lot better off
With the circulation issues I have I am lucky I haven't had a heart attack or something
