They do that back home too. It goes on your demographic. Statistically young males get in more wrecks than females. So they pay less. It takes a few years of clean driving record before the rates balance out between men and women. I used to bitch about it when I first got my license, but when you think about it, the system does make certain sense. I don't know how they play it out over there, but eventually your record will speak for itself and things come around. For a young guy just getting a vehicle/license though, they sure fucking stick it to you.
