The oily beaches were on the Altantic coast, they've been cleaned up now though, just been swimming this morning.
Mallorca and the Costa del Sol are in the Med.
How long do you want to rent for, there are not that many apartments that come with adsl/cable already set up, but depending where you are you can get a cable line set up within a couple of days.
ADSL will take longer though.
