...because otherwise Twitter is so relevant. I visit often just to see who took their dog to the park and picked up the poop and wished other people did the same.
Really I think twitter, facebook etc represent a great decline in the web. It succeeds largely in fueling people's lame egos so they can all feel very important about living an utterly boring, meaningless life.
yes there are positive aspects, friends who forgot how much they really hated each other reconnect after years and slowly discover the reason they never kept in touch. i think thats brilliant because its real.
if you want to boil it down, everyone is spamming something on twitter and facebook whether its porn or an hour by hour account of their pre-determined lives.
