In my experience at least 1/3 of all porn chicks like to be choked and/or slapped, spanked, have their hair pulled and be talked to dirty and degraded rough sex style. Most of them don't even realize why they like it, but it goes hand in hand with slutty behavior. Dr. Drew Pinksy has talked about the deep seated reasons behind it a few times on Loveline and tv appearances and I believe his reasoning is correct.
Adult females (especially white girls) that suffer molestation or sexual abuse as children often become ironically compelled to re-enact a version of that abuse as adults in a "safe" way with boyfriends or porn sex partners where they are in control to gain mastery over those feelings of terror they experienced as youths. The human brain inexplicably becomes compelled to re-enact those bad experiences and eroticise them as part of sex play and that's why so many (not all) porn girls who had those traumatic experiences- which is a majority of them- are often into rough sex and those activities. Same goes for civilian girls too, they obviously don't all become porn stars.
After being in the biz for almost twenty years I've gotten to a point where I can talk to a new young porn girl that comes for a casting and within ten minutes figure out if she is into rough sex without even specifically asking her, and even to be able to use that knowledge as an almost guaranteed device to get into her pants if I was so inclined.
