Porn Actress-Turned-Teacher Placed On Leave In Mo.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- A suburban St. Louis high school teacher who appeared in a series of adult films in the mid-1990s has been placed on leave after informing administrators of her past.

The woman had also been suspended by a western Kentucky district in 2006 for the same reason.

In a statement, Missouri's Parkway School District says the teacher told her principal on Friday about her porn work and that a student had approached her about it. The district says it granted her request to be placed on administrative leave for the rest of the school year.

The district is not releasing the teacher's name, but multiple media outlets reported she is Parkway North High School science teacher Tera Myers.

Her phone rang unanswered Tuesday.
