The Japanese have no native concept of "original sin" so sex is viewed a little differently than in the USA and Europe. They are much more open to all the various possibilities and not nearly as uptight about sex. Sex just happens when the time is right and is generally ok as long as it is not a source of conflict. Sex is not seen as dirty, vulgar or an act against God.
