If checks are so inconvenient why not switch to a wire? I personally switched my own payout to wire and let it build up for a couple of weeks so as not to incur weekly wire costs.
I understand not everyone will be able to do this, but it is a much better option than waiting for a check to arrive than waiting the 7+ days it takes to cash in Europe. Most times the money is in your account the day after payouts, and if your banks are anything like my bank back home, you won't lose THAT much more on a wire.
