How many domains do most people have trademarked? less than .005% ? Unless you are a big program with unique names/brands most people do not have their domains trademarked.

Any domain worth "protecting" that .xxx equivalent is probably already reserved. What's the chances of you getting it even if you wanted it. All of those people who buy and sell (hoard) domains and try to sell them for ridiculous prices would have gotten in on this and reserved the domains years ago.

Has ICM mentioned if they are going to be auctioning off better names? Names like FreeSex etc. that are generic, not trademarked, I highly highly doubt they going to let someone register that for regular registration cost, just to have that person turn around and flip up for a lot more money.

The fact of the matter is, in the majority of the cases you wont be able to register a .xxx domain even if you wanted to, unless if the domain was very shitty or had a trademark.
