"Helping out" a popular uprising against a crazed charlie sheen-esque dictator slaughtering his own people seems like a good idea to me. It's an international effort. As for Bahrain, I'm sure there are a ton of reasons why we haven't or won't step up. International politics is a fucking tightrope and motives for action or lack thereof are a multi layered multi facited thing. It's not as simple as saying "zomg we are doing something in one place, why can't we do it everywhere?" I'm pretty sure you'd be screaming bloody murder and CONSPIRACY! if we were doing so anyway.

In Iran, Egypt and Tunisia the violence level was much lower(especially in Egypt) and circumstances were very different on almost all levels. Egypt and Tunisia managed to sort themselves out, for now, TBD. Iran will also have its day, preferably at the hand of its own people.
