you got something called lactic acid in those muscles, only real way to effectively get rid of it is to continue to use them. in all honesty, doing whatever you did again would probably be the best.
something else tho, you should really be doing stretches more if you're in this much pain. don't think for today when working out, think for 40 years from now.
