I have a huge archive of GFY posts in my "Favourites", and at least half of those posts are from "Quiet".
I only talked to him once - briefly - about a decade ago, so I can't honestly call him a personal friend. But after all this time, I still consider him an inspiration.
I didn't really know him personally - just his GFY persona - but my heart still broke when I heard the news.
If there was a GFY "Hall of Fame", or if GFY retired personas - "Quiet" should be at the top of the list.
I never really knew him, but I really, really, miss him. In this case, I don't think ANY flippancy is justifiable.
