Take a look at adult dating sites for another prime example. Shouldn't everyone by now realize these are all a huge crock of shit? "Hot babes are waiting for you in your town. Signup now!" Sure they fucking are. It should be come sense that these hot babes are not actually there, but the emotional triggers have been played, and an effective call to action still has thousands upon thousands of idiots signing up every day.
Maybe if more pornslingers actually put some thought into their own copy people would be seeing some slightly better conversions...
