Yes, he does have a good point.
However....Every hosting company I host with has provided me with a backups and I was told that they were providing that as well. After the fact, he tells me I had to go in and turn it on.
Why did I not have it backed up? Again, I purchased the sites and they were inactive. Webair knew this and they transferred the sites from the old host. Since I was told there was a backup, that was good enough for me. Clearly I learned from that mistake. I never had the data myself and I put the sites on his box where they sat until development could be finished. Unfortunately, all was lost before that happened.
