First off, you have never purchased or received content or any other service from me. For you to make a comment about me being the worst content provider ever..Well...That just goes to show that you have NOTHING legit to say about me. And you call me a troll?
Now, lets address the hosting issue shall we?
YOU approached me several years ago and offered me free hosting with Webair in exchange for my support of Webair on the boards. I turned you down because I didn't need another box. A few months later you again approached me with the offer. I declined again. The 3rd time you pestered me about whoring your name out, I said OK and I transferred some sites to you that I had just purchased and were inactive.
At that time I added you to my GFY sig and started showing support for you on and off the forum. THEN you lost an entire members directory of exclusive content and custom scripting. For that reason, and THAT REASON ONLY, you were removed from my sig and I stopped supporting Webair. Your solution to this was to offer me access to some feeds even though you knew the site was not live. (Wow, how cool of you to offer something you knew would not be used!) I never publicly discussed that you had lost all that content and scripting. Why not? Because it was a free box and my stopping supporting you was enough. I also discontinued using that box for each site except for a single web page that was the front end to my 2257 data which obviously I host elsewhere.
At no point did you ever mention not having a backup with the server you offered. If you want to offer your service to people for free, in order to gain positive feedback, you still need to provide decent service which you failed to do. In fact, you should provide those people exceptional service to make sure they are happy. Making sure their stuff is backed up would save you from this type of situation. To call me a cheapskate after you continuously begged me to take your free server shows once again what your character is really all about.
I became the most unhappy with you a couple of weeks ago when you showed your true colors on ICQ. Not that you wanted the box back, but that you wanted it back because I had hurt Bari's feelings and I was not telling people about my "great experiences" with Webair...Because there were none...Not one...Ever. You want me to lie and unlike you, I won't do that.
And you can stop with your ICQ threats too. Grow the fuck up, act like a man, and realize that you, just like Bari, are responsible for your own fuck ups.
To recap:
1: Webair begged me 3 times to take their free server in exchange for me telling people about my good experiences with them.
2: Webair lost 10's of thousand of dollars worth of exclusive content and scripting when the service they provided failed and they did not have a backup in place.
3: I then stopped supporting Webair and left only the front end to my 2257 website hosted their. (I didn't trust them with the data itself) Perhaps Webair would have preferred if I took everything off the server and made it well known why?
4: The owner of Webair then gets his panties in a wad because I won't lie about his shitty service and I attacked a friend of his for not doing her job.
5: The owner of Webair is now sending me threats on ICQ.
At the end of the day, this thread is about Nat Net. A company who, although I have never hosted with or promoted, has gone out of their way to be be nice to me as well as their competitors. I know a number of people who host with Nat Net and have not heard any horror stories like what I have personally experienced and heard from multiple others who used the previously mentioned service.
