The service sucked? The only thing I noticed that you said that happened that was bad was that the data was lost (one instance), I am assuming to a bad HD, over the course of 7 years. Last I checked hardware does go bad, especially hardware that is 7+ years old. Other than that, over the 7 years did you have any other bad experiences with them?
Sounds like if you would have kept a copy of your important stuff local (something everyone should do) then you would have had zero problems. Hard ware problems over the course of 7 years is to be expected from time to time.
Even if you had a backup with them, I would have kept a copy of exclusive content locally along with any important scripts etc.
