I have a couple of dedicated boxes and shared accounts at most of the hosts mentioned here (apart from Webair). And I would say that even the best support can sometimes fuck up. Not that that helps.
As Certified have already migrated your sites to the dedi box (even if they did fuck it up), I would stick with them for now, because I'm betting that your post here has got things moving better.
Once they have sorted out the mess and your site is running smoothly, then you can test if their support is still not up to your expectations (in my experience, it's patchy) and if necessary you can move on from there.
