How about W3 Total Cache, I believe its much advanced than other cache plugins.
Other than that I believe this could be possibly with some mods, tweaks or hacks but never went that deep into it.
However, I do know of a WP plugin which allows you to fetch photos/videos from FHGs and then allows you store them where ever you wish, including different server / subdomain.
