The security is NOT equal for everyone.
Every time I fly, it's different for me. I also see other passengers getting different treatment.
When I flew from DFW to LGA, you'd have thought I was requesting top security clearance or something. They scanned me, meticulously searched my bags, and made me take my hoodie, shoes, belts, and jewelry off.
When I came back from LGA to DFW, they didn't scan me, pat me down, NOTHING. Meanwhile, many around me were getting the full treatment.
When my best friend flew with her child, they didn't search either of them nor did they put the child's bags through the bag scanner.
So no, it's not the same for everyone.
