You are right we don't mandate testing for everything. And as a whole we are not responsible. Keep in mind as a whole we do not have the best and the brightest going into our business.

Because we on the production end of the industry are idiots as a whole.

Simple, because you as a 3rd world country (Thailand) are 10x's smarter than us in the production end of porn. Actually probably all of porn.

And I'm not going to be an idiot and argue from a very poor position and try to be right. No matter how good I am at arguing a position (and im good), I will not pretend that you are wrong and argue a point until it becomes right. You win
Now with the above being stated and me conceding defeat on all point that you brought up, I will say this;
AIM, even though it blows ass, it is all we got. Its not great, its not even secure but it helps lower the risk of transferring HIV. By what percentage? Don't know exactly.
Is it a preventative? No way. It just lowers the risks of catching the HIV, thats all. Its Just like having a life guard at a beach on a sunny day with big surf. You 100% don't want to drown at the beach? Don't go into the water. You want preventative with 100% effective rate, don't get into porn.

Once again you are probably right.
You are one of the few people i will agree with on just about everything.
On this subject, I do agree with you and you are dead right on everything you pointed out. But what you may not understand is that people here do have an underline understanding that they "will" contract Herpes and that is an acceptable risk that everyone takes. And, god forbid, people do understand that they have a remote chance of contacting HIV. These are common sense facts and risks that everyone in porn know and accept.
Not trying to justify anything, just pointing it out.
On the Hepatitis, everyone generally gets tested full panel every 6 month and people that do contract Hepatitis are weeded out of this industry quietly. And as for the herpes, call it your "stripes" and everyone seems to have their strips in this business.
I personally went into this business expecting to get herpes, chlamydia and Gonorrhea. ended up getting 2 of the 3. Just never caught herpes. Expected it and never got it.(Damn! No 'stripes" for me)
In conclusion: I know I work and swim in dirty and diseased waters. Thats the nature of my business and i deal with it daily. I have also not banged talent in 4 years and with all of the crossing over bullshit and no condoms, it makes it really easy to abstain.
I follow the current rules and work with in the rules. Can it be better? Of course it can. Will it get better? Doubt it. Will it detour people from getting into the adult business? Nope. And people dying in a coal mine doesn't detour people from becoming miners either.
