Enforcing a no fly zone isn't the only goal in Libya. The primary goal is to protect the citizens of Libya from it's own government, which originally had started bombing it's own citizens. In order to do this we have established a no fly zone. The no fly zone includes taking out all and any air defenses, and under the guise of "protecting the citizens" we are now outright trying to stop Libyan forces from making any advance against the "rebels", which are in fact the citizens of Libya.
My big problem here is why are are in Libya at all. If forty thousand people in northern California suddenly rose up, took up arms, and removed local law enforcement in an attempt to create a new goverment... Wouldn't they be criminals, not "rebels"? The fine line of defining what a rebel is depends on what side your on.
We either need to go all in or nothing. This "limited military campaign" never works. Just say that we need to remove Qaddafi because he's killing his citizens, move in, and that's that already.
