That was just Rosie being her usual loudmouthed overblown self.
She needed controversy to yap about with the other hens at their daily hen party, hey why not take something innocuous (and rather funny actually) and turn it into another gays being offended about every little thing issue. There are things gays do need to be vocal about, like having Rosie as their spokesperson for starters, but this isn't one of them.
Trump had it right about her.
