Do not fall into that whole faked-up "disease" thing. Alcohol dependency is NOT a "disease".
It's a choice.
The people who have had problems with alcohol who do best in light of those who consider themselves to be in some kind of "recovery", fall into two categories:
(1) Those who do the best are those who simply go home and stop drinking.
(2) Those who moderate their drinking, despite what the Twelve-Step Theologists will tell you.
By its own numbers, AA does not work for at least 87% of the people who walk through the door. "Relapse" does not exist as it takes many, many decisions to get your ass out of the armchair, walk to the table, pick up the car keys, walk to the door, walk to the car...............
At any of those points you CAN make a decision to drink or not drink.
Empower yourself as that whole AA bullshit of being "powerless" over alcohol is just that.
Bullshit.
Enjoy your evening but if you think that you have a problem, you probably do, so fix it.
Whatever created you gave you a mind.
