political correct bullshit, there is nothing offensive at all about the statement - he was stating a historical fact, he never said or inferred slavery was a good thing.

I agree, that whole incident was blown out of proportion.
But the inference of the statement (rightly or wrongly, intended or not) was that the black player was a good player simply because he was
born with physical talent. Whereas the white player was good because he
worked to develop talent.
