Pakistan has confirmed Bin Laden's death too. That's not very good for them for a number of reasons. Firstly with their own citizens who will be unhappy about it for sure. Second with the USA who will be asking lots of questions how how Bin Laden could have been located where he was for so long without the goverment knowing.
If this was all just a USA conspiracy, there would be no reason for the Pakistanis to go along with it. You'd expect them to be yelling from the tree tops that it was not true.
