Yes, because the American education system is soooo difficult. Did my 11th year of high school in Texas, I think I did homework twice the entire year, I refused to do any work in math class (I was taking a Canadian math class via mail instead), and I still got like 80% in everything. Even had teachers phoning, complaining to my parents because they never see me taking any books home. After a while, my mom started getting aggravated with them, and would say, "well, he's getting better marks than most kids in your class, so mind your own business!"
Then I moved to the UK, ended up in sixth form college, and got my ass handed to me when it comes to education. Went from doing SOH CAH TOA (trigonometry for 11 year olds) to calculus, differentiation, integration, fairly difficult physics, etc.
