After a while, my mom started getting aggravated with them, and would say, "well, he's getting better marks than most kids in your class, so mind your own business!"
Then I moved to the UK, ended up in sixth form college, and got my ass handed to me when it comes to education. Went from doing SOH CAH TOA (trigonometry for 11 year olds) to calculus, differentiation, integration, fairly difficult physics, etc.

Interesting to hear from someone who's been in both systems. I remember studying Physics A-Level many years back in a UK Sixth Form college. That was a proper subject. People who were previously straight A students were getting D's and E's
