This is about the fundamental principle of being innocent until proven guilty. A right we ALL should have not just in the cases where we benefit.

Innocent until proven guilty is only in the movies.
One quick example
I had to go to court for Speeding.
The office "said" I was speeding to have a reason to pull me over, since I was in the area at 4am.
When the officer finished speaking at court, the Judge said to me, do you have any DEFENSE, if not you will be guilty
All based on the offices "word" and we all have seen the news about police over the years.
I did then Prove my case.
Another thing to keep in mind, they always ask
"Where were you on the night of .... "
I say "Don't worry about it, PROVE I was somewhere" HA Ill be in Jail
