I've been at it for about a month.
Started at 198lbs. My original goal was to hit 185, but the weight has been coming off slow. After losing only 5 lbs, I've also noticed that I look much better. Probably because I'm getting some muscle as I lose a little fat. Muscle takes up less space than fat, so the math seems ok. I'll go by the mirror instead of the scale.
Today was heavy squatting and deadlifts, with some jump rope, basketball and rowing directly after.
Off days I do a 10 mile walk with my dog.
To anyone that's trying to get into shape, don't leave out squatting. If I could only do one exercise, it would be heavy squats. It just hits every part of your body and stimulates muscle growth.
