I've seen so many kids turn into criminal garbage and abusive assholes because they were never physically disciplined. My mother is a good example - she was NEVER physically disciplined and she treats my grandmother like an animal.
However, my father use to hit me because my mother or someone would make him mad. That's absolutely wrong.
Also, sometimes children would rather be hit than have no attention at all. I know a guy who beats the holy fuck out of his kids, but they still act out, because that is their only way of getting his attention.
But when a kid is breaking things, hurting himself, causing problems, etc... it's good for him to go upside his head or whip him on his ass. You should not over do it, either, but when a little bastard knows there are no consequences he'll go crazy. Then once it's TOO LATE he will need correction from law enforcement for the rest of his life.
