As a Christian you're either ready for it or you aren't. Some of these people baffle me how they get themselves all preoccupied with when the end is coming. If you believe then it really shouldn't matter. After all, don't you (the Christians) believe and TRUST in God? If so then wouldn't it behoove you to just shut the hell up and live your life, and trust that the higher power knows what he's doing?
I remember back in the 70's a ton of Christians were certain that it (the start of the 7 year tribulation) was going to start in 1981 (one generation after Israel became a nation, which according to scripture is 40 years. Israel became a nation in 1948, so + 40 years = 1988, minus the 7 year tribulation = 1981)
That date of course came and went with nary a heavenly fart.
Then there was the nostradamus crowd who had the end pegged at 1996 or therabouts.
Then the Y2K farce of 2000.
Now this upcoming May 2011 date, which will of course be followed by the notorious 2012 world shaker.
After that, not sure but you can bet there'll be something predicted. After all, Hollywood is running out of movie ideas.
No, sorry, if it's all the same I think I'll just go along happily living life. I made peace with the possible eventuality of this a long time ago. Of course if you head over to some of the Christian boards I'm sure they're arguing and fretting about it hot and heavy.
