What are your experiences good/bad?
Would you recommend going with a company or rather find an individual to hire?
How do you deal with honesty/trust issues? i.e. (restricted) access to logins, stealing of ideas and site concepts...
It would currently involve only max 2-3 hours a day but could quickly increase to more, so I do not know, is it worth the risk/time to head in this direction?

Make sure your partnered project has benefits on both sides. (Yourself and your Partner) Create some contracts if you plan on working in the "long term" I hear it daily from Affiliates and only 20% actually show me nice results. My experiences go way back to fucking and being fucked, depending on recommendation you should consider looking into your expenses. I personally rather work for a company that has lots of money in the bank compared to working for myself. If you have 10-15 different bills to pay i advise you work for a company till your at the top, if you live at your moms house and feed off her you can dick around and explore the other sides of things. Taking on new projects isn't good but it's also not bad at the same time if I'm understanding your situation correctly.
When it comes to honestly and trust, it really depends how you tell the person in the interview or meeting your in. When i do the hiring for Affiliate Management i make it very clear to them if they fuck me or the partnered company, i will fuck their lives beyond belief. If you are looking for a partnership trust, use your head and take legal action if they fuck you. Business isn't a game and neither is the industry your in. I can't point you in any direction but I'm just giving you my advise
