Without a doubt she knew Arnold was a player and has been for years. Had all kinds of fun getting 'hummers' on his way to the Hummer factory. That was part of his appeal. He's a man's man

I certainly agree that a big part of why he and Maria Shriver got married was that he wanted to go into politics and she wanted a man who could do well in politics. Maybe he would happily have paid $100 mill to be governor and she surely helped make that happen.
And, yes, she is a Kennedy and has her own dough. She doesn't need anyone else's money. This isn't like a guy having his woman put him through medical school working as a secretary and then leaving her for a younger woman. That kinda guy is what alimony was invented for.
I think it is bad for society that women often get to buy more toys for leaving their relationship than being successful in it.
As far as Arnie doing the maid, maybe he liked the way she made his breakfast. Or maybe he wasn't looking to run around, so the affair he had was the one which was as close as the TV remote.
