Most Europeans who finished at least highschool can. Then again i couldn't name half the US state capitals if my life depended on it. There was a huge gap in education here (ex-ironcurtained) regarding the US, both historically and geographically.
On the other hand there is no excuse for the excess stupidity of the blondie...
