Great thread, motivating for sure and could help me to reach my final goal.

I'm 35 years old, and while i have always loved sports, and was once a gym rat, for the past 5 years i have dedicated most of the time to work, sitting in front of a PC for hours and gaining weight (fat) while losing my once nice muscles.

It changed 6 months ago, i joined a soccer team in an amateur league, I noticed how slow i was and how sore after the preseason games, so i started to run also, then the gymhaand then to take care of my diet etc. Once you start to feel better, things become easier.

In the past 6 months i have lost 20lbs with moderate diet (basically mediterranean diet but trying to cut carbs a bit), eating vegetables, salads and grilled non fat meat and fish and mainly due to increasing my exercise levels a lot as i said.

Currently I go to the gym 3 days per week, run 40 minutes 2 days per week and play a competitive soccer game once per week.

Now i'm stuck at my weight for like 2 months, i'm happy as the loss is very noticeable, i have also gained a lot of muscle and i get praised by people around me all the time for the change but i want to lose a bit more of fat so the new grown muscles won't be hidden behind the fat.

I'm tempted to try your diet in a month or so, to give the final push and to break this wall, to lose the final 8 pounds i want to lose to reach my weight in my early twenties but without losing a lot of the muscle i have gained in the past 6 months (plus i still need to play 5 more games to end the soccer season so i need some energy in the tank).

The ketogenic diets have always been my fav ones, some people feel like shit when cutting carbs, but for me is the opposite, the more "carbs hungry" i feel, the more motivated i get to keep trying. It's like when you feel slightly sore after a good training session (once you are trained enough, first days sore after years of not doing anything is so painful), it feels great, like that you have done your homework.
