Only one or two?
The problem is that that even if you kill one thing another one is still on your back and the saga continues.
You must kill all of them in order to force Google or FB to loose your trace.
Ok. here are some:
1. Stop thinking that your ass is safe and that big corporations like Google care about your privacy.
2. Monitor your connections, most connection can be easily checked. Do a simple lookup tests.
Open your browser and visit one site and analyse what connection your machine made,
you will be surprised that there is many among the only one that is needed (the site you wanted to visit)
Find out what makes that connection and find out how to kill them.
3. Forget about privacy in Windows7 or MacOS lol get Linux.
4. Browsers, don't use Chrome, if you want Chrome get Iron instead, pretty the same and faster.
If you use FireFox install add-on to kill thirdparty java scripts there are a few NoScript etc, install something to kill headers and unique identifiers etc BeeFree is a nice add-on.
Disable Google safe-browsing in your browser.
Disable Google geo location in your browser.
Disable Google favicon (Opera in order to track your ass force you to query favicons, Opera actually recently has lots of tracking stuff but it is possible to disable it all, do some testings like mentioned above and disable every unnecessary connections makers one by one)
Disable eww… the best is to remove all Google bullshit from your browser or to get one that is free of this all thirdparty crap.
5. Always clean cookies after browsing or setup your browser to do it for you.
6 . Clean your flash cookies as well, Google loves them.
7. Don't be all the time on one single private IP address.
8. If possible kill the middle man, I mean lol, not this one but I know that you would like.. I mean something like akamai network...
I know it speed ups but if you don't care about ultra fast connection then it makes a sense.
(You can block and control out and in connection with your firewall)
Want more? The most important is just to be aware of the rules. But I am afraid that in future US gov via corporations like Google or Facebook will be everywhere and it will not be possible to hide anymore unless you are prepared to live in some deep underground cave and to don't talk to any people OMG.
