Media is a bitch. IF they have a choice of putting a normal guy and an obsessed idiot on air, they will put the idiot. More shock factor, more people watching, more money for them. Furthermore they often edit the clips out of context to achieve the result they want - shock factor.

I think these sorts of stories and people should just be ignored. For the better of all, themselves included.
