Of course it matters, you're a "sales rep". If all the haters refuse to do business with you, you're not going to have any value promoting any company. Your situation is like a company strike where 99.9% are standing on one side and you were the one guy who crossed the picket line. Then you change your mind and decide to come back over to the other side and you expect everyone to just accept you back, wake up.
