not sure if anyone helped answer your question, but since I still run a number of TGPs i thought Id help...
1. How do TGP sites decide which galleries to reject? ie: do they look for certain criteria to figure out that it's just a FHG
it depends on who runs the TGP, but mostly its about content. if the galleries look like shit, have a bunch of banners and ads, they will most likely be denied. for me in particular I like clean galleries, nice images and bigger pictures. as well, I see what the sponsor is. if its one that I push hard, i may deny the gallery.
2. Would it be a bad idea for me to reuse templates made by the affiliate sponsors?
most affiliate programs make shit for templates. make your own and do a lot of testing.
3. When you make your own galleries to send to TGPs, are you just grabbing FHG images and repackaging them on your own site? If so, what exactly are you changing, if anything?
i have a program that will rip FHGs images into my own templates. spend some $$ on some good templates, you will make your money back.
at the end of the day, look at the gallery and think "would I want to join this site based on this content?"
