In terms of pure entertainment value, I definitely prefer scandals that involve highly self-righteous and moralistic people. (The more austere and puritanical they claimed to be prior to getting caught with their hand in the nookie jar, the better.)
It's just not as much fun to kick a guy when he's down if that guy never publicly condemned the very same acts that he privately engages in.
