I was crazy shocked to see used car prices when I came to the US from Europe 7 years ago.
Back then, I just wanted a 2nd car to throw the dogs in and so I wouldn't care about door dings while shopping..........I thought $6-700 and 10 years old wont be a problem. Boy was I shocked and its the same now.
For example :
I Just did a search for a year 2000 Ford Focus - approx 75k miles. Good body condition an no major faults.
UK: 625 pounds
US: Between $5995 - $7500
